In this article on iPodlounge, Greg Koenig describes the delicate process he went through to crack open his iPod mini. Numerous autopsy photos are included, and they're autopsy photos for good reason: the patient didn't survive the procedure. Along the way, Greg broke his Mini in at least two important (and irreversible) ways. His conclusion is succinct and heralds his newfound wisdom: "Don't take apart your new iPod mini."
It's amazing how sturdy something can seem from the outside and how delicate it is on the inside.
